News / Sailings affected by wind
NORTHLINK’s ferry services to and from Shetland are set to be affected by the anticipated windy weather on Wednesday, with a southbound sailing of the recently chartered freight boat MV Arrow cancelled.
The Arrow, which was brought into service to alleviate freight capacity concerns over the next few weeks, has had its trip from Lerwick to Aberdeen shelved.
Wednesday’s northbound sailing of usual freight boat Hildasay will also no longer arrive in Lerwick, with the service due to call at Orkney only.
The passenger vessel Hrossey, meanwhile, will leave Lerwick for Kirkwall and Aberdeen at 4pm instead of the scheduled 5.30pm.
