News / Peerie Boat Week programme online
THE PROGRAMME for a slimmed-down Shetland Boat Week has been published online at www.shetlandboatweek.com/events
Peerie Boat Week will take place over the weekend of 17 to 19 August with a number of additional exhibitions and boat trips scheduled in the lead-up to these dates.
There are also some extra events still being confirmed with organiser Shetland Amenity Trust.
Event coordinator Emma Miller said that in addition to the boat trips offered by Shetland Museum and Archives, wildlife cruises with the Seabirds and Seals catamaran and trips around Mousa and Noss with the Mousa Boat were also part of the programme.
She said the event team was still looking for volunteers keen to help, as well as anyone who has a traditional Shetland model boat that would be suitable for outdoor display on Hay’s Dock from 11 to 19 August.
Miller can be contacted by e-mailing info@shetlandamenity.org or emma@realtaevents.co.uk.
Bookings for the various events can be made online at www.thelittleboxoffice.com/smaa or by calling Shetland Museum and Archives on 01595 741562.
