News / Behaved in threatening or abusive manner while on bail
A MAN pleaded guilty via video link at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at a house on the town’s Cairnfield Road last month whilst on bail for another offence.
Sentence was deferred on Michael Holmes, of Lerwick’s Gilbertson Road, after he made his plea from prison. His offence was aggravated by involving abuse of his ex-partner on 19 June.
The 34 year old was on bail at the time on a charge of trying to take two kilograms of cannabis resin into Shetland on 26 September last year, which he admitted before being sent to prison on 20 June.
