News / CAT dealer appointed

DH Marine managing director David Henry and Finning general manager Steve Berry in Lerwick.

LOCAL marine engineering company DH Marine has been appointed the authorised dealer for Caterpillar marine and power generation products for Shetland and Orkney.

The official recognition by Finning UK & Ireland has come on the back of a long relationship with the well-known company.

DH Marine managing director David Henry said the relationship would ensure that customers have prompt access to Cat products, parts and service.

“We have been selling and supporting a comprehensive range of Cat products since we established the business in June 2000, serving a broad range of customers from vessel owners and operators in the marine and offshore industries to businesses requiring on-site electrical power generation,” he said.

Finning general manager Steve Berry said the company recognised the unique logistical challenges faced by customers in the islands.

“DH Marine is now ideally placed to supply and support Caterpillar marine and power products giving customers further confidence in a brand already renowned for reliability and product support excellence,” he said.
