News / Released on bail
A MAN from Lerwick has been released from custody after admitting breaching bail conditions.
Honorary sheriff Arnold Duncan granted bail to Denis Zalekesin, of Hoofields, when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday following a night in custody.
The case was deferred until Wednesday, when the 40 year old will appear on another matter.
Zalekesin admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with a previously imposed bail condition by contacting and attempting to contact a woman on 22 February and on 3 March at an address in Scalloway and at the Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick.
He was bailed with a special condition not to approach or contact the complainer.
