News / Multiple vehicles involved in collisions
A NUMBER of vehicles were involved in two separate accidents in Lerwick on Tuesday morning as snow fell on the town’s roads.
Four cars collided at Holmsgarth Road at around 8.45am, with no one injured.
The road was blocked but it reopened shortly afterwards. The vehicles involved were two Vauxhall Corsas, a Toyata Auris and a Kia Picanto.
There was also a three-vehicle accident just after 8.50am on North Road. Again, there were no injuries and the road was reopened shortly after.
NorthLink Ferries, meanwhile, said that Wednesday’s freight sailings to and from Shetland are likely to be cancelled due to the weather.
