News / Attempted to take van
POLICE are looking for witnesses after a man attempted to remove a white Vauxhall Combo van from the premises of Grantfield Garage in Lerwick shortly after midnight on Thursday.
However, when a passing taxi driver disturbed the man he left the area – only to then return to park the vehicle correctly.
There was no damage to the vehicle as it appeared to have been unlocked.
Police said the driver is described as being male and in his late 20s with short cut dark hair, glasses, a leather jacket and dark jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Lerwick police station on telephone 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 080055511.
