NORTHLINK has confirmed there will disruption to its passenger and freight services to and from Shetland in the coming days due to adverse weather.

There will be no northbound sailing to Lerwick from Aberdeen via Orkney tonight (16 November), with the boat instead returning to the mainland after it stops off in Kirkwall.

The southbound ferry will now leave Lerwick two hours early at 5pm.

The ferry from Aberdeen to Lerwick on Friday is currently under review, while there will be no southbound trip that day due to Thursday’s cancellation.

Both the northbound and southbound freight boats are cancelled on Thursday and the cargo service is also under review on Friday with a high chance of cancellation.
