INTERNATIONAL fiddle collective String Sisters impressed at Mareel in Lerwick on Friday night.

The group, who features local Catriona Macdonald, had spent the week recording a new album in the venue.

They also include Annbjørg Lien (Norway), Emma Härdelin (Sweden), Liz Carrroll (United States), Liz Knowles (United States) and Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh (Ireland).
