Bail for trio facing drug charges

TWO men and a woman have been released on bail after appearing in private from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday facing drug-related charges.

Martin Andrew MacDonald, aged 42, from Lerwick, was arrested when police executed search warrants on Wednesday.

Arrested at the same time were 42 year old Ian Lloyd Smith and 26 year old Sarah Hellen McDowell, both of whom live in Paignton, Devon.

All three were charged with contravening the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They made no plea or declaration and were all released on bail.
