Motorcyclist injured

A MOTORCYCLIST is recovering in hospital on Thursday after his bike left the main road in Trondra near the bridge to Burra at around 2.30pm.

Police closed the road for one hour after the accident happened around 2.30pm to allow council workmen to clear away debris.

The rider’s injuries were said not to be life threatening and no other vehicle was involved.
