ANYONE in Shetland who is eligible to vote but hasn’t received their polling card for next month’s European elections is being asked to contact the Electoral Registration Office.
Elections to the European Parliament take place on Thursday 22 May and the registration deadline is Tuesday 6 May.
If you know that you will not be able to attend the polling station and have not arranged for an absent vote you can also contact the Electoral Registration Office.
New applications for a postal vote must be made by 5pm on Wednesday 7 May, while the deadline for ordinary proxy applications is 5pm on Wednesday 14 May.
The Electoral Registration Office is located at 20 Commercial Road, Lerwick. You can also get in touch by phone on (01595) 745700 or by emailing ero@shetland.gov.uk
