News / Assault victim flown to Aberdeen

A MAN is due to appear in Lerwick Sheriff Court following a serious assault on the town’s Commercial Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Lerwick police say the 29 year old was arrested after a 17 year old man sustained leg injuries so serious that he had to be flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
