A POLICE car was damaged when it skidded on black ice and landed in the ditch, on the A970 near Tingwall, on Friday night.
No one was injured and no other vehicle was involved in the accident.
A police spokesman confirmed on Wednesday that officers were responding to a callout when they became a victim of the adverse weather conditions.
“Given the amount of mileage we do during the year, these things happen unfortunately,” he said.
