Community / Inferno crowned best in show at Shetland’s Got Talent

Inferno were the winners of Shetland's Got Talent 2026.

ALMOST £6,000 was raised for Cancer Research UK as a packed Mareel crowned Shetland’s Got Talent’s winners for 2026.

Dance troupe Inferno were the big winners on the night, with eight acts wowing the sold-out crowd.

Compèred by Martin and Jacob Henderson, the event was led by judges Kathryn Gordon, Lewie Peterson and Megan Nisbet.

Last year’s winners Mirrie Stars of the Eric Gray @ Seafield got the night underway, before the first of this year’s competitors, Kaylee Ann Best, received a great round of applause for drumming along to Footloose.

Leah Bruce sang Cover Me in Sunshine before Corey Burns gave the drums a real work out playing along to Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold in memory of his father.

Hailey Williamson concluded the first half performing Naughty from the musical Matilda.

Lorraine Peterson opened the second half singing Ode to Billy Joe, and was followed by the spectacular Crowned in Pink who danced to Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya.

Jacky Williamson performed He Needs Me and the second half was concluded by Inferno performing Beetlejuice.

The judges announced Inferno, Corey Burns and Jacky Williamson as the top three acts and voting, by cash donation, got underway.

It was Inferno who were announced as the winners after this, and they returned to the stage to a standing ovation and ended the night with the audience dancing on their feet.

Relay for Life Shetland chair Kerry Llewellyn thanked everyone involved and reminded the crowd to come out again on Saturday 30 May at Clickimin Leisure Centre for Relay for Life.
