Transport / ‘High probability’ of disruption to NorthLink ferry sailings

NORTHLINK has warned there is a “high probability” of disruption to passenger and freight ferry services over the coming days.

Both of Tuesday night’s passenger sailings are currently under review, with a strong likelihood of some disruption.

An update will follow on the services on Tuesday morning.

The sailing of the freight ferry Hildasay from Aberdeen on Tuesday at 3pm will go ahead, but the call into Kirkwall on Tuesday night is under review.

On Wednesday night both sailings of the Hrossey and Hjaltland are also under review, again with a “strong possibility of disruption”.

The freight sailings of the Helliar and Hildasay on Wednesday night are also under review, NorthLink said.

Meanwhile Monday night’s sailing of the Hrossey from Lerwick is expected to be up to an hour late arriving into Aberdeen on Tuesday morning.

NorthLink has said there could be disruption to services through to Thursday 26 March.
