GUIZER jarl Lindsay Angus and his 44-strong squad enjoyed a perfect end to their big day at the Northmavine Up Helly Aa procession on Friday night.

Angus, portraying Knut Gråskjegg, waved farewell to his galley Silfrharfn – or silver raven in a fiery finish to the day’s excitement.

Known as Greybeard for the day, Angus led the procession of torch-bearing guizers to the loch at Urafirth where the galley was burned.

His three sons – Thomas (16), Lewie (13) and Willum (10) – were by his side throughout, along with his wife Chevonne.
