Transport / NorthLink ferries cancelled for third day in a row
NORTHLINK’s passenger ferries to and from Shetland have both been cancelled tonight (Friday).
It is the third day running that both north and southbound sailings have been called off by the ferry operator due to the high winds.
Saturday’s passenger sailings are also under review, with an update to follow tomorrow morning.
Both of Friday’s freight sailings have also been cancelled by NorthLink today, with tomorrow’s sailings again being reviewed.
It comes amid an expected influx of visitors and returning locals for the Lerwick Up Helly Aa festival, which will be held on Tuesday 27 January.
