Transport / NorthLink services resume with some weather related changes to timetable
WITH the cold and windy spell of weather set to continue into next week, NorthLink has made some alterations to its ferries timetable.
The northbound Hrossey is set to depart from Aberdeen as scheduled tonight (Friday) but due to the strong northerly wind is expected to arrive in Lerwick up three hours late on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile the southbound Hjaltland will depart from Lerwick at 5.30pm as scheduled but her call into Kirkwall has been cancelled.
Disruptions to sailings on Saturday are also likely with a further update expected tomorrow morning.
All cargo vessels are currently in harbour with services due to resume on Sunday (4 January).
Met Office yellow weather warnings for ice and snow are still in place until Sunday.
