FIDDLE music was front and centre at Mareel on Saturday night as one of Scotland’s top folk groups came to town.

Blazin’ Fiddles played two nights in total on their trip north, with the group – who feature Shetlander Jenna Reid – also playing in Sandwick the night before.

Meanwhile the events’ promoter Ragged Wood is bringing swing jazz act Rose Room back to Shetland soon, with gigs lined up at Mareel on Friday 12 September and Hymhus in Bigton the night after.
