Sport / Shetland women’s side through to cup final
SHETLAND’S women’s football team have thrashed Caithness Ladies to make it through to the Highlands and Islands League Cup final.
The blues raced into a 4-1 half-time lead through goals from Rhea Nicolson, Sadie Anderson, Freya Leslie and a Josie Mitchell penalty.
Nicolson grabbed her second early in the second half, with further goals from Inga Inkster and Miley Watt sealing an eventual 7-2 win for Shetland.
They will face either Sutherland or Orkney in the final, which is set to be played in Nairn on Sunday 14 September.
