THE FORMER Shetland Bus vessel Andholmen arrived in Scalloway on Sunday afternoon flanked by a flotilla of local vessels.

It is part of the Norwegian World War II liberation celebrations, which has seen five historic vessels visit Shetland.

Scalloway became a base for the Shetland Bus operation in World War II.

The Andholmen features on top of the Shetland Bus memorial in Scalloway. The fishing boat was used by the Norwegian navy during the war, and undertook trips between Norway and Shetland.

More information about her history can be found on the Liberation Convoy website.
