THE JUNIOR Up Helly Aa procession is set to be broadcast to the world tomorrow evening (Tuesday) for the first time.

It will be livestreamed through the Junior Up Helly Aa Facebook page thanks to Shetland Webcams.

The senior procession has been livestreamed for a number of years but it is the first time the junior one, which precedes it, is being broadcast.

The junior procession begins at 5.30pm, with 125 young guizers lined up to participate.

Organisers said it is a test stream for the senior procession, so it could be the case that sound and visuals may be adjusted.

The Junior Up Helly Aa team thanked Shetland Webcams for providing access to the livestream, and encouraged folk to tune into the Promote Shetland’s/NorthLink Ferries Facebook pages or Promote Shetland’s YouTube channel for the senior procession.

Shetland News will bring coverage of the 2025 Up Helly Aa through the day (tomorrow) on www.shetnews.co.uk and our social media pages.
