Police / Emergency services attend two vehicle crash at Virkie

THE DRIVER of one of the two cars involved in a crash at Virkie last night (Tuesday) has been issued with a fixed penalty notice.

Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision on the A970 at Sanblister Place at just after 8pm.

The road was closed for a short time to allow for the vehicles to be moved off the road.

One car was taken away last night, while the other remained at the side of the road this morning.

A police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended, and the occupants were checked by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“One driver was given a fixed penalty notice.”
