Police / Road reopens following fatal crash

POLICE have confirmed that the A970 near Sandwick has fully reopened following a fatal crash in the early hours of the morning.

A spokesperson said: “Drivers are thanked for their patience while investigations were carried out.”

Earlier today police confirmed that a 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene following a one vehicle crash on the A970 near Sandwick, with emergency services called around 1am.
