Community / Overnight power cut in Yell
HUNDREDS of properties in Yell lost power overnight following a fault with the overhead network.
A spokesperson for SSEN said on Thursday morning that engineers have now restored power to 397 properties. The aim is to restore power to the remaining 40 properties by 11am.
The fault occurred at around 11pm on Wednesday night.
The teams will begin a “fault-finding exercise” to establish the cause of the power cut once full supply has been restored.
The problem means the phones and computers in the Yell ferry booking office are currently not working.
