Transport / Bluemull Sound goes to single vessel again

THE BLUEMULL sound ferry service is to reduce to a single vessel again this afternoon (Thursday) due to crew sickness.

It will run with a shuttle service until 3.50pm, before moving to a Saturday timetable. The service similarly dropped to a single vessel on Wednesday afternoon.

Ferry staff have also confirmed that the Saturday timetable will be in place on Friday as well.

The Yell Sound service is also running with a single vessel on a shift timetable today between 6.15am and 6pm for the same reason.

Shetland Islands Council said it apologises for the inconvenience caused.
