Arts / Mareel issues reminder after experiencing increasing abuse towards staff
ARTS venue Mareel says it is dealing with an “increasing level of abuse and aggression” towards its staff.
It issued a customer notice on Thursday reminding people that folk will be asked to leave the venue if they are acting out of line.
“We are very disappointed to have to post this, but recently we have been dealing with an increasing level of abuse and aggression towards our staff,” the Lerwick venue said on Facebook.
“This is not acceptable and will not be tolerated, abusive or threatening customers will be asked to leave the premises immediately and no refunds will be issued.”
It comes after Sound Service Station in Lerwick reminded customers earlier this month to be kind to staff as fuel prices increased.
