Emergency services / Coastguard and lifeboat involved in late night search at the Knab
EMERGENCY services were called out late on Tuesday night after receiving a report from someone who said they saw a person near the cliffs at the Knab in Lerwick.
Services were alerted at around 10.30pm and the coastguard tasked its Sumburgh based helicopter in addition to rescue teams from Lerwick and Sumburgh.
The Lerwick lifeboat was also tasked, while the police and fire service attended.
A search was conducted but nothing was found. A decision to stand down was taken at around 2am.
