Emergency services / Shed destroyed by fire

A SHED on the side of a hill in Voe was destroyed by fire on Friday afternoon.

The fire service was alerted at around 2.30pm and an appliance from Brae attended.

Crew used two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatuses to extinguish the blaze, with the incident over at around 3.45pm.

The red shed, which was located on the hill opposite the Voe kirk, was left in ruins. No injuries were reported.
