THE FIRE service has been called out to Mareel in Lerwick three times since Thursday morning thanks to false alarms and a faulty dishwasher.

Following a false alarm on Thursday morning, the cafe/bar was evacuated later that evening when two fire appliances and a police officer attended to check out a dishwasher which was emanating smoke.

And at around 9.45am on Friday morning two appliances attended the arts centre thanks to burnt croissants which had set off the alarm.
