Muckle Roe bridge closure

THE MUCKLE Roe bridge will temporarily close to traffic on Wednesday morning.

Contractors working for Shetland Islands Council will install an access cradle below the bridge to undertake essential maintenance. The work involved is weather dependent, and will see the bridge shut between 9.30am and 11.30am.

Efforts will be made to keep the duration of the closure as short as possible and the SIC’s roads service said it apologised to anyone affected. Anyone with concerns can contact the department on (01595) 744866.
