News / Meeting to determine use of South Nesting’s ‘Aald Skul’
A PUBLIC meeting to gather the public’s thoughts on a community takeover of the old primary school in South Nesting will be held later this week.
The Community Development Company of Nesting was given nearly £14,000 from the Scottish Land Fund earlier this year to develop a business plan for its Aald Skul project.
Some of the suggested uses for the disused building include a gym, a childcare facility and a workshop.
People can also participate in a Facebook poll about what type of gym or childcare facilities they might like to see in the building.
The meeting will take place at the South Nesting Hall on Thursday 17 August between 7pm and 9pm.
Anyone who can’t make the public meeting can email their thoughts to cdcnesting@gmail.com.
