News / Seumas wins gold for Scots
SHETLAND athlete Seumas MacKay won gold for Scotland at the weekend at an international event in Dublin.
The 17 year old ran the 800m in one minute and 54.07 seconds to finish in first place at the U18 Celtic Games on Saturday.
Shetland Amateur Athletics Club said MacKay led the race from start to finish. He ran the second leg in the 4x400m relay too, helping Scotland to win silver.
