Four seriously injured after early hours road accident

FOUR people were taken to hospital with serious injuries in the early hours of Saturday morning following a two vehicle road accident north of Voe.

The A970 road between Voe and Brae is expected to re-open at 1.45pm on Saturday and a diversion is in place through Mossbank.

The incident happened at around 2.30am and emergency services, including fire crew, were quickly on the scene.

Police said that the Voe Show, which is due to take place on Saturday, will not be affected.
