News / Police seek info on transit van involved in cyclist collision

POLICE have released further information as they continue to investigate a collision between a cyclist and a transit van on Friday evening which resulted in the cyclist requiring hospital treatment.

The incident took place at around 7.15pm on Friday on the A970 near Frakkafield. The cyclist received minor injuries and was later released from hospital.

Police said the vehicle involved in the collision was described as a white Ford transit “flatbed-style vehicle”, which may have sustained minor damage on its passenger side.

  • Anyone with information is asked to contact the police by dialling 101, attending Lerwick Police Station or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
