News / Weather disruptions

INTER-island ferry services are likely to be disrupted today (Tuesday) due to severe southeasterly gales.

Currently the Whalsay service is suspended, but the ferry crew will assess conditions at 9.15am and then decide whether it is safe to operate.

Meanwhile there is only one ferry operating on Yell Sound.

For the latest information and updates, passengers should check the voicebank messages – http://www.shetland.gov.uk/ferries/bookings.asp
