News / Ferry’s late departure
FRIDAY’s NorthLink ferry sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen will leave later than scheduled after poor weather delayed the northbound journey the day before.
The Hrossey will only arrive in Lerwick at 2.30pm on Friday and NorthLink has confirmed that the subsequent southbound sailing will now depart at 10pm.
The vessel will arrive in Kirkwall at 6am on Saturday before arriving in Aberdeen at around 2pm, with weather also affecting the journey time. Passengers can check-in at the Lerwick terminal between 6pm and 7pm on Friday.
The freight vessel Helliar is expected to arrive in Lerwick from Aberdeen on Saturday at 1pm, while on the opposite journey, the Hildasay may be late in arriving in Aberdeen.
