Power off for repairs

ELECTRICITY supplies to Yell, Unst and Fetlar were affected for around two hours on Tuesday evening to allow engineers to carry out emergency repairs on the overhead network.

Power was turned off for nearly 800 customers at around 5pm and normal service was resumed by 7.10pm.

A spokesman for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks apologised for the interruption.
