Kept in jail over drug charge

A MAN from Ayrshire has appeared in private from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court in connection with allegedly supplying drugs.

Thirty eight year old Andrew John Gibson, 38, from Cumnock, made no plea or declaration when he appeared in court on Tuesday over an alleged contravention of Section 4(3)(b) of the 1971 Misuse of Drugs Act.

Gibson was committed for trial and remanded in custody.
