News / Employment roadshow

MOVING On, the charity helping people with barriers to employment into work, is encouraging south mainland employers to attend its roadshow this Friday (25 Sep) in the Levenwick hall.

The event will promote the organisation’s supported employment activities such as the transitions service and the Shetland employability pathway.

The group’s coordinator Lincoln Carroll said the support of local employers was crucial to ensure that appropriate placements could be found for those in need of a helping hand.

He said he hoped the meeting would encourage more employers to become involved with the charity’s activities.

The roadshow will also be attended by SIC employment pathway officer Shona Johnson, Alicia Hunter from Skills Development Scotland and Shona Manson from the Mind Your Head charity.
