A THIRTY eight year old man accused of stealing charity box money from an Indian restaurant appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
John Gibson, of 44A Bruce Crescent, Lerwick, saw his case continued without plea until 14 October.
He is accused of thieving a box containing charity donations from the Gurkha Kitchen in the town’s North Road on Monday (21 September).
Gibson has also been charged with resisting, obstructing or hindering two police officers, threatening to fight with them and resisting lawful detention whilst on bail.
He was granted bail with the special conditions that he abides by a 7pm-7am curfew and does not approach the Gurkha restaurant.
Meanwhile, a man also appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on alleged drugs offences.
David Leadbetter, 46, from Brae, made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
