News / Henderson joins LPA board
THE MANAGING director of Lerwick marine engineering company Ocean Kinetics has been appointed to the board of Lerwick Port Authority.
John Henderson will act in a non-executive capacity, with the appointment confirmed at a board meeting on Tuesday.
He is filling a vacancy that opened up this summer following the death of Lerwick Port Authority stalwart and local businessman Harry Jamieson in June.
The port’s chairman Brian Anderson said he was “very pleased” that Henderson is joining the board.
“We have attracted a member that can bring expertise to the board in areas such as oil and gas, marine and engineering, all of which are relevant at this time,” he added.
