Letters / Those Viking millions
I cannot help but wonder why Shetland Charitable Trust can be so concerned about being short of funds? Were we not reassured time and time again by Hunter, Wills, Ratter and cohorts of assorted council people, SNP activists, bankers and clever business people that by 2020 Viking Energy would be earning us millions and millions? (CAB debt and outreach work under threat; SN, 11/09/15)
The trust even poured ten million or so into this gold mine. What happened?
Why, o why, do we now have Hunter, Wills, Ratter et al, mimicking Cameron and Osborne with their very own austerity cuts? At least Cameron and Osborne told us what was coming.
Sad thing is that we told them time and again how speculative VE was. Now, which decade will these millions role in gentlemen?
If it is so sure fire why not keep CAB afloat and your funds flowing to other needy causes?
Those VE millions will soon make up any future shortfall. After all you did promise us millions and millions, did you not?
