News / G4S delivers late
SECURITY firm G4S has been ordered to explain why it failed to deliver a man to Shetland on time for an appearance at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Thirty nine year old Jamie Neill, of Sandveien, Lerwick, appeared in the court from custody and was subsequently jailed for eight months.
However, his case was heard later than scheduled after G4S was late in delivering the man to court.
Sheriff Philip Mann ordained a representative of the firm to appear before him on 5 August to explain the reasons behind the lateness.
The company did not respond to a request for comment by the end of our deadline.
