GULBERWICK lass Lauren Pottinger has just returned home with a bronze medal for her solo performance at the British National Baton Twirling Championship last weekend.
The 14 year old also came fourth with a ‘no drop’ showing in the Fancy Strut finals, and two further top 10 finishes in the dance and two batons disciplines.
Athletes from England, Scotland, the Isle of Man, as well as Jersey competed over four days in the K2 arena at Crawley, near London.
Laura Pottinger said her daughter had been “amazing” and produced “a superb performance” in the 14 year old age group.
Lauren has been a baton twirler since the age of six and is a member of Shetland Baton Twirlers, coached by Caroline Bulter.
