News / Two cut free from car following collision
A MAN and a woman have been taken to hospital in Lerwick with minor injuries after they had to be cut free from their car, which had collided with a coach in the village of Brae.
Emergency services were alerted to the crash outside the Brae Hotel at just before midday on Monday.
Fire and rescue crews from Brae and Lerwick attended and had to use cutting equipment to gain access to the two people trapped in their car.
Traffic through the village was disrupted for a time. The main A970 road through the village may have to be closed later to allow recovery of the damaged car.
