News / Rolling pin arrest
A LATVIAN man living in Lerwick was fined £200 at the local sheriff court on Monday after he admitted threatening a man with a rolling pin.
Vitalijs Piho, of 17 Scalloway Road, was arrested after he became involved in an argument with another man at a house in Lerwick’s Upper Baila on Sunday.
The police were called and the 23 year old was arrested and spent the night in the cells before appearing from custody before honorary sheriff Arnold Duncan.
Through an interpreter he pled guilty to both threatening and abusive behaviour and possession of an offensive weapon. The rolling pin was forfeited by the court.
