News / Birthday competition winners!

WELL done to nine year old Mia Clark from Burravoe primary school who was the winner of our competition in the  5 – 10 age category, celebrating the first birthday this week of Shetland News website www.shetnews.co.uk.

Judge JJ at Artmachine said it was very bright and cheery, and she has managed to keep the blue portion beneath the masthead, but reshaped it.

The winner of the 11–15 age group is 11 year old Lucy Brown, also of Burravoe primary school.  You can see Lucy’s design at the top of our page until Tuesday 27th March.

JJ said that Lucy kept to the brief, and has done a very simple design that doesn’t stray too far from the original, but just enough to let us know there’s something special happening’.

During its first year Shetland News received more than two million visitors.
