News / Mental health roadshow

SHETLAND mental health charity Mind Your Head has been awarded £4,000 from the national campaign ‘see me’ to help fund their youth road show.

By touring schools throughout Shetland, Mind Your Head Youth raises awareness among young people of their own and others’ mental health and wellbeing.

Project co-ordinator Jacqui Clark said: “The Mind Your Head youth road show is a chance to help young people deal with exam stress, understand what it’s like being a carer and share how it feels to experience mental ill health.”

Suzie Vestri, ‘see me’ campaign director, said: “The Mind Your Head Youth Roadshow in Shetland really captured our attention because of its positive impact on young people in the local community.
